CDCP – CANADIAN DENTAL CARE PLAN

We hope this letter finds you in good health and spirits. We wish to inform you about an important update regarding our dental services and the recent government initiative called the CDCP (Canadian Dental Care Plan).

The CDCP is a new government program aimed at providing dental care to a wider population. While we welcome initiatives that promote oral health, we understand that the details of the CDCP may not be entirely clear. We share your concerns regarding the clarity of the government’s messaging.

As many dental procedures would be subsidized by CDCP, this will not be at 100%. It is important to note that patients will be responsible for the payment of any remaining balances. This is similar to individuals with private dental plans.

The proportion of dental treatments subsidized by the CDCP will gradually expand beginning by November.

As always, our priority is to provider you with the best possible dental care. If you have any questions or concerns about how the CDCP may affect your treatment options or costs, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Our team is here to assist you and ensure that you receive the care you need.

We expect to have the terms of the CDCP clarified by mid July. At that time we will update you about our ability to accept the plan in our office. We understand the importance of transparency and clear communication, and we are committed to keeping you informed every step of the way.

Nous espérons que cette lettre vous trouvera en bonne santé et de bonne humeur. Nous souhaitons vous informer d’une mise à jour importante concernant nos services dentaires et de la récente initiative gouvernementale appelée RCSD (Régime Canadien de Soins Dentaires).

Le RCSD est un nouveau programme gouvernemental visant à fournir des soins dentaires à une population plus large. Même si nous saluons les initiatives qui favorisent la santé bucco-dentaire, nous comprenons que les détails du RCSD ne soient pas tout à fait clairs. Nous partageons vos inquiétudes quant à la clarté du message du gouvernement.

Comme de nombreuses interventions dentaires seraient subventionnées par le RCSD, ce ne sera pas à 100 %. Il est important de noter que les patients seront responsables du paiement de tout solde restant. C’est la même chose pour les personnes bénéficiant d’un régime de soins dentaires privé. La proportion de soins dentaires subventionnés par le RCSD augmentera progressivement à partir de novembre.
